Our staff has the knowledge and experience to find common cable faults and data rate. Cables often fail in harsh and extreme industrial environments where cables are exposed to vibration, extreme flexing, moisture, expansion and contraction from temperature change. Failures result in costly production downtime so it’s important to quickly identify where the cable is broken so it can be replaced or repaired. In the condition where the cables are new, we provide Qualification reports that displays the specifications of the cable connection and confirmation that the cable & terminations are in perfect working status.
The Report tipically shows
the following results and data:
- Cable Performance testing up to 10GBASE-T via frequency-based measurements
- Network features including: IPv4 and v6 ping, nearest switch diagnostics (IP address, name, port/ VLAN number, and advertised data rates)
- Ethernet Alliance certified PoE Verification – Detects the PoE class (1-8) and power, and performs a
- load test of available PoE from the connected switch
- Displays cable length, wire map, and distance to open or short
- Works on live networks to provide Ethernet switch detection and device configuration
- Measure network capacity (10 Meg, 100 Meg, 1 Gig) to determine support for VoIP, data and video
For infrastructures wherecabling is installed previosly but need to verify if an issue is present:
- Troubleshoot and qualify Ethernet network cabling speed
- Advanced troubleshooting diagnostics; insertion loss, cross talk, noise issues
- Core troubleshooting features; length, distance to fault, graphical wire mapping,opens, shorts, power over Ethernet (POE) detection
- Tests all copper cabling media: twisted-pair, coax, and audio
- Qualifies and troubleshoots Industrial Ethernet cabling
